2. Information We Collect

Account data: Name, email address, and password when you register.

Uploaded documents: Files you upload for processing. These are used solely to provide the requested service (text extraction, analysis, translation, export, or certification).

Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions with the service. Collected to improve functionality and measure performance.

Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing: stripe.com/privacy.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and access times collected automatically via server logs and analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to provide and operate the service, process payments, send transactional emails (account confirmations, receipts), improve and debug the service, and prevent fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Document Processing

Documents you upload are processed to extract text, generate summaries, and produce requested exports. For Professional Certification, your document and its analysis are shared with an assigned certified professional (sworn translator, notary, or legal specialist) solely for the purpose of completing the certification. You explicitly consent to this sharing when you confirm a Professional Certification request.

Uploaded documents are stored securely and are not used for any purpose beyond the service you requested.

5. Third-Party Services

Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our service. Google may process your data in the United States. You can opt out via Google's opt-out tool. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Google reCAPTCHA: We use reCAPTCHA to protect forms from spam and abuse. This may transmit your IP address and usage data to Google. Google's privacy policy applies.

Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe handles all card data directly. We receive only transaction confirmations and metadata.

All-Inkl: Our hosting and email provider. Server infrastructure and transactional emails are handled by All-Inkl (all-inkl.com).

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for the service to function (session management, authentication, language preference). We also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to measure usage. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly.

7. Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Uploaded documents are retained to allow you to access your results; you can delete your documents at any time from your account. Analytics data is retained per Google's standard retention periods.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request deletion of your account or data, contact us at info@docdee.ai. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data against unauthorized access.
